This one speaks to me very deeply. I literally said wow the moment I saw it, and now find my brain trying to write poetry based on it. I’ll share if anything good comes of it!
There is something very primordial about this one and I would really appreciate your words and further comments. I too will write down what I think but will wait until I hear from you further – no pressure but your remark has already had an effect upon the image. This is what makes sharing these so interesting.
So I finally got it out in some fashion that works! I’ll probably rethink this later (for some reason this one is hard to share), but I’m having a moment of bravery so I’m just going to do it!
there’s a rift inside this darkness
a silent edge of green
and we float across it daily
on words and melody
for fields of green are growing
and rifts widening as they close
soon a darkness showing
soon a darkness goes
I can’t wait to see what you wrote (whether it’s poetry, thoughts, or anything else)!
These words are beautiful and definitely make a connection with the image. I appreciate you sharing especially when you feel that your words are work in progress. I like the way writing can be rewritten and reformed as we ourselves grow in perception. Well I can’t put it off any longer!
the ponderous beast that is the land, opens one eye and in a moment of dawning realisation allows in a rift of o-live light. Lying still as we do following a deep sleep, new possibilities begin to form. The connection has been made between within and without. The Rift closes but the light continues its inner journey, a warm glow of new hope and trust.
Wow! I love art, and your words are beautiful too!
I would appreciate hearing if any of the other pictures trigger a literary reaction. What art and writing do is force us to dig beneath the surface reaction which is helpful as a trigger but is often just hinting at what we really feel. The idea is to cultivate original thoughts as opposed to culturally or societally programmed thinking.
Awesome! I’m going to be putting up the poem I wrote (decided I liked it as is this morning) as a post today and linking it back to the image on your site. If you have any objections please let me know!
Oh, and I will let you know if your images inspire more words/poetry/etc.!
That’s great!
