A dead tree lives on

OUTLANDISH ~ transport yourself through time. Standing on a Scottish moor watching the clouds descend upon the high mountains, it is an easy task to feel your 21st Century self dissolve as you become one with the scent of the moors, the enchantment of the light and the game played by the wind bringing distant sounds within hearing. Scotland is an outlandish place with history embedded in the stone and memories encapsulated in drifting droplets of resonating reality.

ENCHANTED GARDEN ~ here is my idea for plates made from reflected light. Perfect for eating en plein air! My apologies for disappearing for a month but I have the greatest of excuses. Travelling in Scotland to wild and wonderful places and thoroughly enjoying the magic of the light and the land. Returning with so many great ideas I will share these with you over the coming weeks. The first is a design for a glass plate inspired after dining in The Albannach, Lochinver. The ingredients for each perfectly balanced meal are all locally sourced and cooked with care and a flair for perfection. Such food deserves the best presentation and this is supplied by original tableware designed and made in Lochinver at the famous Highland Stoneware Pottery. http://www.thealbannach.co.uk/restaurant.html , http://www.highlandstoneware.com/
