  1. I swithered about which word to use as Pussy Willow was the name used in my Scottish childhood and the silky covering is indeed just like fur. Here in the Netherlands it is wonderful to see rows of these trees growing near the rivers. They produce stong flexible shoots which are perfect for basket making. Great to think that these old crafts continue to this day.
