  1. The left side of the image has an eye in it…….creation of reality is one thing. How we percieve it is a whole different thing. We, as humans, in societies, have created many realities; most of them wiped out by warfare and border shifts and whatnot. Perception of what we have created is different.

For example, to me, a dollar bill is simply a piece of paper that we have put ink on and assigned the value of 100 pennies. Personally, I don’t have any dollar bills, but that does not make them any less or more important. I can make do until payday. Now, put that dollar bill in the hands of a homeless person. If they collect enough dollars, they may be able to afford a motel room for the night. They can take a shower, sleep in a clean body in clean sheets, and watch a little cable. To a person who normally sleeps on the street at night, this is heaven. To a person like myself who has a place to live (not always food), and a shower and bathtub, and a comfortable bed to sleep in, that dollar doesn’t have as much value to me as it does to someone who is jobless, homeless, and may be mentally “interesting”. It is a matter of subjective perception. What is valuable to one person is not necessarily worthless to another, but the value of the object or whatever has shifted very subtly.

      1. I have had my blog up since February 2012, I think. It has been interesting. You hear/read other people’s lives and perspectives and opinions. Like had no idea there is such a burgeoning Bipolar blog system, and I do mean system. Its like we are here, and we will not be treated as second class citizens anymore.

As a person whose degree is in Sociology/underwater basket weaving, I find the blogging community really interesting. You find people who, on the surface appear to have nothing in common, and then one day they post something, and your whole paradigm shifts. Its cool 🙂

          1. Yeah, its kind of weird when you discover that there are really are billions of people out there. It’s like a Jefferson “Surrealistic Pillow” (an excellent song from about 1967) moment when you get that first reply to you blog..

(note: this is not a comment on the foregoing convo. It’s just my title for this very interesting image.)
